Proposed Erection and Completion Works Learning Facilities Phase III at Nyandarua Institute of Science and Technology

The Institute's Management invites tender for the following works:
Proposed Erection and Completion Works Learning Facilities Phase III at Nyandarua Institute of Science and Technology

TENDER NO. NYA/NIST/2008 - 2009/01

Interested contractors who must be qualified and registered with the Ministry of Public Works in category 'G' and above (proof of registration required) may obtain tender documents from the Principal Nyandarua Institute of Science and Technology in person or against written application upon payment of a non refundable fee of Kshs.3000/= paid in form of cash or Banker's cheque payable to Nyandarua Institute of Science and Technology.

Tender bids in plain sealed envelope marked in the right hand corner and bearing no indication of the bidder should be addressed to:-

The Principal Nyandarua Institute of Science and Technology
P.o Box 2033
NYAHURURU

And placed in the Tender Box at the entrance of the Principal's office or sent by post to reach the above address not late than 26th February 2009 at 10.00am.
All Bids must be accompanied with the following:-

(a) Bid security in the sum of Kenya Shillings One Hundred Thousand (Ksh.100,000/= only)

(b) Copy of Registration Certificate with the Ministry of Roads and Public Works.

(c) Details of work of similar nature and value undertaken within the last three (3) years.

(d) Copy of the bidders V.A.T Registration Certificates.

(e) Proof of the financial capability.

Failure to submit a bid security shall lead to automatic disqualification at the bid opening.

Submitted documents will be opened publicly in the Principal's board room soon after the above stated closing date and time in presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend.

Late bids will be returned unopened. Prices quoted must remain valid for One Hundred and Twenty (120 days) from the closing date of the tender.
The institute reserves the right to reject any tender without giving reasons for the rejection and does not bind itself to accept the lowest of any Tender.
