1. The Kenya National Library Service Board invites sealed tenders for Renovations of Kabarnet Library - Baringo District
2 Interested eligible candidates may obtain further information and inspect tender documents from the Supplies Office at Kenya National Library Service, Community Area, during normal Working hours.
3. Complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested candidates upon payment of a non-refundable fees of Kshs.2, 0001- (in cash) at the Cash Office, or Bankers Cheque payable the Kenya National Library Service.
4 Prices quoted should be net inclusive of all taxes, must be in Kenya shillings and shall remain valid for 120 days from the closing date offender.
5. Bidders willing to bid for the works must be registered with the Ministry of Roads and Public Works and must attach the following documents: -
(i) Certificate of Registration of Ministry of Roads and Public works
(ii) Copies of VAT certificate
(iii) Certificates of compliance from K.R.A.
(iv) Certificate of registration and certificate of incorporation
(v) Proof of similar works done
(vi) Professional / technical personnel detail
6. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 1V4% of the total bid price in Kenya shillings. Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked with Tender Name and Reference number and deposited in the Tender Box at Supplies Office, Kenya National library Service, Ngong Rd, Opposite NHIF building or be addressed to:
The Director, Kenya National Library Service, P.O. Box 30573-00100, Nairobi
To be received on or before 25th February 2009 at 10.00.a.m local time. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the candidates or their representatives at Maktaba Conference Hall at KNLS. All received tenders will be acknowledged after the award.
7. The KNLS Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids without giving reasons thereof.
