TENDER NO ME/29/2008-2009: SALE OF BOARDED VEHICLES PLANT AND STORES

Tenders are invited for Supply of Pulmixers and Self Metering chipping Spreaders to service requirements of Government Ministries, Departments, and Institutions for the period ending 31st December 2009.

Tender documents may be obtained upon payment of non-refundable fee of Ksh. 5,000/= per set of tender document from the office of the Procurement Officer, 1st Floor Room 114, Mechanical and Transport Department Headquarters, Machakos Road, Industrial Area Nairobi, during normal working hours. A copy of a receipt of non-refundable fee paid should be attached to each tender document.

Interested bidders will be required to pay a tender security of an amount specified in the tender document for each tender in form of a bank guarantee or a bank draft issued by a reputable bank located in Kenya, payable to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Roads.

Also the Ministry of Roads invites sealed bids from interested and eligible bidders for the Sale of Boarded Plant, Vehicles and Stores.

Tender documents giving full details of items to be sold may be obtained upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 2,000 per set of tender documents from the Procurement Office, 1" Floor Room 114, Mechanical and Transport Department Headquarters, Machakos Road, Industrial Area, Nairobi and at all Regional Mechanical Engineer's, District Mechanical Engineer, District Mechanical Officer's Offices countrywide, during normal working hours.

A copy of a receipt of the non-refundable fee and refundable deposit paid should be attached to each tender document returned. Items in this advertisement are located at Kirinyaga , Nyandarua, Malindi, Busia, Kilifi, Igembe, Rachuonyo, Migori, Murang'a, Kitui, Mandera, Samburu, Siaya, Lamu, Meru South, Tharaka, Moyale, Narok North and Kisumu.

Bidders will be required to pay a refundable deposit of Kshs. 5,000 per vehicle and Farm tractor, Kshs.10,000 per Plant and Kshs. 1,000 for the stores per lot, in cash or bankers cheque. The deposit will be refunded to the unsuccessful bidders or credited to the successful bidders.

All successful bidders will be required to pay and collect items within 21 days from the date of notification of award failure to which they will lose the offer. The items can be viewed during normal working hours at locations indicated on the Tender documents.

All completed tender documents in plain, sealed envelopes, clearly marked with Tender Number as shown above should be deposited in the tender box situated on the 1st Floor of the Mechanical and Transport Department Headquarters or be addressed to:-

So as to reach him on or before 3rd February 2009 at 10.00 am and the opening will take place immediately thereafter in the presence of Tenderer's representatives who choose to attend.

The Government reserves the right to accept or reject any tender in whole or in part and does not bind itself to accept any tender or to give reasons for its rejection.
