The proposed completion works to 2 No. Blocks of 6 No. Units each type "E" flats and Doctors masionnet at Runyenjes sub-District Hospital.The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Public works invites Tenders for the proposed completion works.
The contractors bidding for these works must be registered with the Ministry of Public Works in the category "E" and above in the current register (Proof of registration required) can obtain tender documents from District procurement office Embu in person or against written application. A non-refundable fee of Kshs. 3000.00 to be paid in cash at the D.C cash office between 8.00. a. m. and 4.00 pm on normal working days or in bankers' cheques payable to Provincial Works Officer Embu.
Tenderers must submit a bid bond of Kshs. 200,000.00 from a reputable bank or approved insurance company.
Interested bidders should note that only those meeting the criteria indicated below as a minimum, supported by relevant document at submission will be considered for further evaluation.
1. Proof of Works of similar magnitude and complexity undertaken in the last five years.
2. Adequate equipment and Key Personnel for the specified types of Works.
3. Sound financial standing and adequate access to bank credit line.
4. Tax Compliance Certificate
Further, tenders from the following tenderers shall be treated as NON- RESPONSIVE and therefore subject to automatic disqualification.
i. A tender from a Tenderer whose on - going project (s) is/are behind schedule and without any approved extension of time.
ii. A tender from a Tenderer who has been served with a default notice on-going project (s)
Tenderers in plain sealed envelopes, marked Tender No. WP ITEM NO. Dll EN/EBU 701 JOB NO. 662IB on the right hand side corner and bearing no indication of the Tenderer should be addressed to: -

And placed in the tender box at D.C. Offices or sent by post so as to reach the above address not later than 17th April, 20O9 at 10.00 am.
Submitted bids will be opened publicly in the DC boardroom soon after the above stated closing date and time in the presence of Tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend. Late bids will be returned unopened.
