Proposed Erection and Completion of District Information and Documentation Centre - Butere

Tender No: BTR/DTC/DDO/2172008-09

Interested bidders must meet the following minimum criteria, which should be demonstrated by producing evidence at the time of bid submission.

a) Be registered with the Ministry of Roads and Public Works as building contractors in category "F" and above.

b) Show proof of works of similar magnitude undertaken in the last five (5) years.

c) Proof of sound financial standing and adequate access to bank credit line.

d) Bid bonds must be in the form of a bank guarantee from a reputable commercial bank of Kshs. 200,0007= (Two Hundred Thousand) and must remain valid for a period of 150 days from the tender opening date.

e) Proof of tax compliance from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).

Prospective bidders should arrange on their own, to visit the site before tendering and view the drawings at the district Works Officer's office, Butere.

Tender documents may be collected from the District Procurement Office, Butere during normal working hours upon payment of a non - refundable fee of Kshs. 3,000/=, either in cash Or bankers cheque..

The bids in plain sealed envelopes bearing the names of the tender and tender number but with no indication of the tenderers names should be addressed to:

All bids should be deposited in the TENDER BOX situated at the main entrance to the District Commissioner's office so as to reach him not later than Friday 17th April 2009 at 12 noon. Late bids will be returned unopened.

Tender opening will be done soon after the above stated closing time in the presence of tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend.

Quoted prices must remain valid for a period of 120 days from the opening date of this tender.

The Government reserves the right to accept or reject any tender without giving reasons for acceptance or rejection and does not bind itself to the lowest or any tender.
