Invitation for Tenders for Upgrading of the Utalii Street to Bitumen Standards
Contract No. EMC/LATF/07/08/25
The Municipal Council of Eldoret intends to apply part of the proceeds from the Local Authority Transfer Fund towards upgrading of the Utalii Street to bitumen standards.
The Council invites sealed tenders from eligible and qualified contractors for the above works. The invitation is open to all contractors/firms who meet the following mandatory requirements, of which documentary evidence must be supplied.
1. Be registered under the relevant statutes
2. Registered with Ministry of Roads and Public Works at category E
3. Current Tax Compliance Certificate from KRA
4. Current Single Business Permit from a Local Authority
5. Proof of similar works undertaken in the last five (5) years
6. Profile of key personnel and list of equipment indicating if owned or hired
7. Bid security of 0.5% of the tendered sum
8. Audited Accounts for the last three years
The tender documents may be collected from the Procurement Office at room 11, during normal working hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh. 5,000/= per document.
The Tenderers who had paid in the first advertisement will not be required to pay for the document.
Tender documents in sealed plain envelopes marked:- " Tender for Upgrading Utalii Street" to be deposited in the tender box situated at Town Hall on or before 10th February 2009 at 12.00 noon and addressed to The Town Clerk, Municipal Council of Eldoret P.O. Box 40 Eldoret, 30100.
The Municipal Council of Eldoret is not bound to accept the lowest or any quotation and reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation without assigning reasons thereof. Any tenderer who so wish may come to witness tender opening or send their representative.
