KPA/001/2009/HSE - Provision of Environmental Maintenance Services

Kenya Ports Authority (herein referred to as the Procuring Entity) now invites sealed bids from eligible tenderers for PROVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES.

Candidates may obtain further information from the office of the Procurement & Supplies Manager located on the 4th floor of office Block III at the Kenya Ports Authority Headquarters, Kipevu from MONDAY TO FRIDAY BETWEEN 0800 HOURS AND 1600 HOURS.

A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested candidates upon payment of non-refundable fees of KShs.3,000.00 in cash or Bankers Cheque payable to Kenya Ports Authority.

Tenderers shall be required to submit Tender Security of KShs. 100,000.00 in the format provided in the tender document.

There will be a MANDATORY pre-tender site visit for the prospective candidates on Friday 23rd January, 2009. Prospective candidates will be required to gather at the New Conference Room on 6th Floor of Finance Block III at 1000Hours and will be required to sign a register as evidence of having attended the pre-tender site visit.

Alternatively, completed tenders may be deposited at Tender Box No.7 located at the BUS TERMINUS, PORT MAIN GATE NO. 10, KILINDINI, MOMBASA BEFORE 1000 HOURS ON THURSDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER, 2008.

Prices quoted should be net inclusive of all taxes and delivery must be in Kenya Shillings and shall remain valid for 90 days from the closing date of the tender.

Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the candidates or their
representatives who choose to attend at the New Conference Room on 6th Floor of Finance Block III at the Kipevu Headquarters, Kenya Ports Authority, Mombasa.

Firms with previous record of poor/unsatisfactory performance with the Authority need not tender.
