The National Social Security Fund invites sealed tenders from interested, eligible, qualified and competent contractors possessing the requisite skills, resources and experience for both Builder's Works and Specialist Works for the completion of The Proposed Roof Rehabilitation, General Repairs and Refurbishment of Hazina Estate, South 'B' Shopping Complex-Nairobi.

Interested contractors who must be registered with Ministry of Roads and Public Works (Category C and above) should obtain Tender documents from Procurement Office, 9'" Floor, Room No. 905, Western Wing, Block 'A', Social Security House, Nairobi upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh. 3,000.00 in cash or bankers cheque payable to the Cashier at Podium Floor, Room P006, Western Wing, Block 'A', Social Security House, Bishops Road, Nairobi.

Bidders who had bought document for TENDER NO. 23/2007-2008 will be issued documents free of charge upon production of the original receipts.

Tender documents shall be accompanied by the following Mandatory / Statutory requirements for preliminary evaluation.

1. Certificate of Company / Firm Registration
2. Details of Company Ownership
3. Valid TAX Compliance Certificates
4. Proof of NSSF contributions
5. Audited Accounts for the last two years (i.e. within 2004 & 2007)
6. Registration certificate from the Ministry of Roads and Public Works (Category C and above)
7. Proven Physical location of the Company / Firm
8. Bid Bond of Kenya Shillings One hundred thousand Only (Ksh 100,000.00) valid for 120 days from the date of tender opening.

Completed tender documents in plain sealed outer envelopes enclosing separately sealed envelopes (in 'original' and 'copy' properly bound) ALL clearly marked Tender for the Proposed Roof Rehabilitation, General Repairs and Refurbishment of Hazina Estate, South 'B' Shopping Complex - Nairobi - NSSF Tender No. 11/2008-2009 as per instructions in the tender documents and addressed to:

Should be deposited in the tender Box on 2nd Floor, Reception Area, Block 'A', Western Wing, Social Security House, Nairobi on or before 11.00 a.m. 5th February, 2009. Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter at the Seminar room, 11th Floor, Social Security House, Block 'A' Western Wing, Nairobi in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend.

A Pre- Tender meeting shall be held on 27th January, 2009 at 10.00 am in the Seminar room, 11th Floor, Social Security House, Block 'A' Western Wing, Nairobi.

The NSSF reserves the right to accept or reject any tender either in whole or in part without giving reason for either rejection or acceptance.
