Proposed Erection and Completion of Office Block for District Commissioner - Lugari District

Tenders are invited for the following works TENDER NO. LUG/DTC/21/2008-2009

Proposed Erection and Completion of 1No. Office Block for District Commissioner - Lugari District. Contractors must be registered with Ministry of roads and public works in category E and above and must pay a non refundable fee of Kshs. 3,000.00 for the purchase offender documents. The bid security for the works will be Kshs. 300,000.00

Interested contractors who must be qualified and registered with the Ministry of roads and public works in appropriate categories and trades who appear in the current building Contractors' Register (Proof of registration required) may obtain tender documents from the District Procurement Office - Lugari in person or against written application upon production of the payment receipt or presentation of a Banker's Cheque. The Non-refundable fee is to be paid in cash at the Cash Office of the District Commissioner, Lugari or a Banker's Cheque payable to the District Commissioner, Lugari District.

Tender Bids in plain sealed envelopes marked on the right hand corner "Tender No. LUG/DTC/21/2008-2009" and bearing no indication of the tenderer should be addressed to:
The District Commissioner - Lugari P.O. BOX 367, Turbo And placed in the tender Box at the District Commissioner's Office - Lugari or sent by post so as to reach the above address not later than 16th February 2009 at 10.00 a.m. All tenders must be accompanied with a bid security as specified.

Submitted documents will be opened publicly in the District Procurement Officer's Office - Lugari soon after the above stated closing date and time in the presence of the tenderers or their representative who choose to attend. Late bids will be returned unopened.

Prices quoted must remain valid for One hundred and fifty (150) days from the opening date.

The Government reserves the right to reject any tender without giving reasons for the rejection and does not bind itself to the lowest or any tender.
