REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is one of the Semi Autonomous Government Agencies under the Ministry of Education. It is a state corporation mandated to perform teacher management functions that include registration, recruitment, deployment, remuneration, promotion, discipline and maintenance of teaching standards.

The TSC has embarked on a comprehensive modernization of its operations, aimed at improving service delivery to the management of 240,000 teachers and about 2,500 secretariat staff.
The TSC now invites Request For Proposals (RFP) for the following consultancy services:

1 .TSC/29/08/09 - Consultancy to Conduct a Survey To Establish causes and prevalence of Indiscipline amongst teachers.

Request For Proposal documents detailing subject description, objectives and scope of assignment may be obtained by interested consultants from procurement office, The Bazaar, Mezzanine 4, situated at the junction of Moi Avenue and Biashara Street, during normal working hours, upon payment of non-refundable fee of Kshs.2000 (Two Thousand only) per tender document, paid in cash or bankers cheque payable to the Secretary, Teachers Service Commission.

Proposals submitted shall remain valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the closing date of the proposal.

Completed Request For Proposals are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked clearly with the number and the request for proposal description and be deposited in the tender box situated at the Ground floor, luggage area of the Bazaar so as to be received on or before 20th January 2009 at 10.00 am.

Request For Proposals will be opened on 20th January 2009 at 10.00 am. in Boardroom 1A, in the presence of the consultants or their representatives who choose to attend the opening ceremony.
