Cladding of CCK Office Block in Nairobi
Contractors must be registered with the Ministry of Public Works in Category 'C' and above for Building Works. A non-refundable fee of Kshs. 2000 shall be payable for the tender documents. Bid Bond for the works will be Kshs 1% of the tender sum. The non-refundable fee is to be paid in cash or in banker's cheque payable to the Communications Commission of Kenya.
Interested contractors who appear in the current Ministry of Public Works Building Contractor's Register (Proof of Registration required) may obtain tender documents from the Procurement Unit, CCK Centre, Waiyaki Way, in person, or against written application before 4.00 p.m. on week days during normal working hours.
Interested bidders should note that only those meeting the criteria indicated below will be considered for further evaluation.
- Proof of works of similar magnitude and complexity undertaken in the last five years.
- The Bid Bond must be in form of Bank Guarantee from a reputable bank.
- Adequate equipment and key personnel for the specified types of works.
- Sound financial standing and adequate access to bank credit line.
- Litigation history of the company (both court and arbitration cases)
- Valid Tax Compliance Certificate.
The envelope should not bear any indication of the tenderer.

Tenders shall be opened soon thereafter the aforementioned closing date and time at the Meeting Room on the 1st Floor of the CCK Centre in the presence the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend. Late bids will be returned unopened.
Prices quoted must remain valid for Ninety (90) days from the opening date of the tender.
The Bid Security shall be valid for a period of at least 30 days after the expiry of the tender validity period.
CCK reserves the right to reject any tender without giving reasons for the rejection and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
