For Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of a VRV/VRF Air Conditioning System at Central Bank of Kenya Kisumu Branch

I Introduction

The Central Bank of Kenya invites tenders from eligible Air Conditioning Companies for Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of a VRV/VRF Air Conditioning System at CBK Kisumu Branch.

II Scope of Works

The work involves the following among others:

1. Carefully and systematically dismantling the existing chiller type air conditioning system ensuring that the operations of the Bank are not interrupted;
2. Supplying, delivering, installing, testing and commissioning a new VRV/VRF air Conditioning system in three phases.

III Minimum Qualification for Contractors

Eligible contractors must meet the following Mandatory Requirements:

A. Be an incorporated company with a Certificate of Incorporation;

B. Have letter of authorisation as a dealer/vendor from a manufacturer of VRV/VRF Air Conditioning System;

C. Have successfully installed at least one VRV/VRF Air Conditioning System of not less than KShs.20 million in the last 5 years;

D. Have current Certificate of Tax Compliance issued by Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) covering a period upto the end of February 2009.

A complete set of the Tender Documents containing detailed Specifications. Evaluation Criteria and other requirements in respect of the tender may be obtained from the Director, Department of Estates, Supplies & Transport on 5th Floor, Central Bank of Kenya Headquarters, Nairobi during normal working hours from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KShs 2,000.00 by Banker's cheque in favour of Central Bank of Kenya.

Should be deposited in the green Tender Box Marked "TENDER BOX NO. 3. ESTATES SUPPLIES & SERVICES" on the Ground Floor of Central Bank of Kenya Headquarters building so as to be received before 2.30 p.m. on February 5, 2009.

Technical Bids and Bid Bonds will be opened soon thereafter at the Presentation Room on 6th Floor, Central Bank of Kenya Head Office Building. Interested Bidders or their authorized representatives may attend the tender opening. Financial Bids will be opened on an appointed date after Technical Evaluation.

Only tenders that qualify on Technical Evaluation will have their financial bids opened and the rest will be returned unopened.

Canvassing or lobbying by the tenderers or by proxy shall lead to automatic disqualification of the Tender
